Our mission here
The whole point of setting out to achieve a goal is to be able to achieve it and maintain it. The problem in health and fitness however, there always seems to be that struggle of maintaining. The secret is not in some supplement or new drug, the secret is in making those changes you make a part of your overall lifestyle. If you crash diet or severely restrict yourself, you would need to keep doing that for the rest of your life in order to maintain your progress. But what if there was a way to be healthier, while also staying healthier for the rest of your life? With small healthy habits built up over time in the right manner, anybody can learn how to become the best version of themselves.
My Story
Growing up, I was never really able to find things that truly drove my passion. Between all the different sports I played throughout childhood, to things like karate and different instruments I tried my hand at, I still never fully invested myself into any single endeavor. Towards the end of High School when you think everything should be planned out, I believed that becoming an electrician was what my path would be. However towards the end of my senior year of High School was when Covid hit and sent everything spiraling. The years following I bounced between different jobs not really sure where I belonged and even DID end up working in the electrical field at one point a few years after graduating. Except, something felt off. I was not truly happy working in the field I thought I belonged in. Funny enough though, I was not always the health-minded person I am now. My entire life, leading up to when I was 19, I didn't have a single clue on what being healthy meant. I was overweight for most of my adolescent years and all throughout my teens until I decided one day, it was time to stop making excuses for my own shortcomings and find a way to become the best version of myself. With that being said, I made MANY mistakes, while also learning along the way what it truly means to be healthy. Throughout this time, I lost around 70 lbs but with one major flaw, I still couldn’t find my true purpose. During this journey of evaluating my own health, was when I decided to take yet another shot in the dark at figuring out my purpose in life and decided to start working on my training certifications through NASM. After completion, I was hired as a PT at Crunch Fitness, but deep down I knew that not only exercise, but nutrition was a huge challenge that a lot of people have struggled with at some point in their lives. With all kinds of information being thrown at you with the power of the internet, it’s truly hard to believe what the truth really is. Which is really where I feel I have found my purpose in life, through helping people navigate the plethora of information in the health space to be able to find what true health is for them. Nutrition can be a very scary step to take because of all the different options you go through, but with a steady and more sustainable view on things, small changes over a given period, will compound to a lifetime of good health.
